My Presentation

I think I now have enough research to start planning my presentation. I want to do it in two sections: the developed countries and the developing countries. Within these two sections I will have subsections that cover economy, the environment, and technology. I will discuss how these three components will either change or not change in the near future. After this, I will discuss the difference between the two types of countries. I will try to figure out whether the gap between the two categories has increased or decreased. The point that I will focus on the most is technology. This is because I believe that this will be developed the most and will also affect the other components of life the most. It will also be the deciding factor of the difference of developed and developing countries. Though I want to have key messages in my presentation, I will also have facts that will make my presentation interesting. Now that I know what I want to do for my presentation, this week I hope to start creating a PowerPoint or some kind of presentation to make my findings more clear.

  1. Your project is really interesting, and I'm interested to see how you pull off the presentation. With so many variables in overall progression and development of technology, the future is hard to determine. Even so, the breakdown you described between developed and developing countries is a great way to study the stratification of the global economic hierarchy. Keep up the interesting research!

  2. When I first read the topic of your 20% time blog I was curious as to how it would be possible to speculate on the drastic changes that may or may not occur in the world in 50 years. Once I read your blog your strategy as to how you would approach this topic became clear. A lot of things in your posts interested me, such as the example of the U.S. debt and the airplane. I never knew that we had so much debt! Reading this blog has made me realize that in order for us to even have a future 50 years from now many changes must be made. This topic is a real eye opener.

  3. Honestly, thinking about the future just blows my mind because of how complicated the world already is. Like what could you do to improve all these gadgets in this world? Like they are already so far ahead in the sense of technology, the question is is there room for improvement? I cant wait to see how you presentations going to turn out. I wonder if you can find out all the new gadgets that will be coming out in 2016 and so on.

  4. Zain, this is a really cool topic. I like how you've been researching multiple aspects of the project, like technology, the economy, and the difference between developing and developed countries. This is a really complex topic that is hard to predict, but you've done a really good job on getting lots of research. I think your idea for the presentation sounds really promising as well and it should be fun to watch. Good luck with the rest of the project and keep up the good work!

  5. The future seems impossible to predict due to all the different variables due to all the possible variables but you've almost got me convinces. The amount of research you've done is really impressive. Particularly, the different aspect of society that you researched is fascinating. Can't wait to see the presentation.

  6. Hey Zain, you've picked a very unique topic to research. At first I was a little skeptical about how you would even present a finished product, but it looks like you have some pretty good ideas. The future is something that can never be certain, so naturally, you have a lot of room for speculation in anything you talk about. I look forward to what you have to share with us in December and I'm hoping you're going to have a lot of information to back it up. Keep up the good work.

  8. This seems like an eye-opening research endeavor. I can't wait to see it all come together in the presentation. I'm proud of you for finding time to spend researching alongside the innumerable burdens of school and college applications! I will definitely be looking forward to this presentation out of them all when presentation day comes.

  9. This has to be one of the most ambitious projects I've seen. However, spanning everything from the global economy to all our developments in technology seems impossibly broad. However, I'm not suggesting that your research was all for nothing. Instead, the broad spectrum of research you conducted means you have a strong background upon which you can focus on the development of one single field 50 years in the future, as well as the global implications of those developments. That I believe will make for a more convincing presentation.
